The counting of ballot papers is still ongoing at various polling places and precincts in Liberia, hours after polls came to a close at 6:00 p.m. on October 10, 2023.

The multi-tier general elections would see citizens vote for a President, Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, in a process that has been widely reported to have recorded large voter turnout.

“Every Liberian citizen not less than 18 years of age, shall have the right to be registered as a voter and to vote in public elections,” the 1986 Liberian Constitution states.
